When you've totally and completely lost your mind, is there any hope that you can find it again? The doctors have given up on me. They say nothing is going to fix me. I cycle so many times a day I can't keep track. Did you know that every time you have an episode, you get a little bit of brain damage? So just imagine if you're bouncing up and down all day long, having 10+ "episodes" a day, the amount of brain damage being done daily. My partner says it's like I have Alzheimer's. She can see the deterioration. Everyone else can too. They treat me like a Faberge egg. My friends don't come to visit anymore. I think it huts them to watch me wasting away in front of their eyes, both mentally and physically. It's like watching someone die of a terminal disease. Am I terminal? Is there any hope for recovery when the disease has progressed so far? There is a lot of information for people who have just been diagnoses, but little is mentioned about those whom treatment has not been successful for and the long-term effects of BP for those patients. Will I ever have a satisfactory quality of life, or am I doomed to be permanently institutionalized by 40?
