Hi there and welcome. Huge congratulations on your two little blessings. I too lost a baby before my twins. I am the mother if 34 year ok'd identical 'girls'. They are unbelievabley close, talking daily and seeing each other most days. They are also fantastic Moms themselves.

Is there a Mothers of Twins Club in your area. They were a lifesaver to me. Contact them ASAP. Try to stay as relaxed as possible, they feel it.

Do you plan to nurse them? It is definitely do-able, I nursed my girls till they were 6 months old. I loved it. Since Daddy won't be feeding them, try to get him to do as much as possible so he bonds also.My girls were my first ( and 2nd) babies, so I learned how to parent with two at a time.

To be able to watch them bond and grow together is fantastic. Don't stress the 'twin thing' and raise them as individuals and have fun with it.

MayberryDeb thank you for the info, I do plan to try to nurse and there is a MoM's club here which is nice I just wanted to wait to find out what I'm having before joining but they are very helpful with questions. My Hubby and I are so very excited about these 2 wonderful blessings. :)

Hi MrsK. I am so glad there is a MoM's club in your area. They will be a big help and wonderful support. You are about 18 months now, right?? 2 more weeks till you find out what they are. One of MY twins is an ultrasound Tech and can sometimes tell thus early. Her twin is a Pediatric Nurse.

As long as you can relax enough, nursing both of them is wonderful. It takes a little longer to get the hang of it, it is the best. I loved it so much and was broken hearted when they weaned themselves at 6 months. Raising two at once is absolutely Amazing.

Oooops, I meant 18 WEEKS, not months. OMGoodness, can you even imagine 18 months???

MayberryDeb- 18 months that would be crazy. I am 17 weeks 2 days and I find out in my 19th week what we are having. I am sooo excited but also worried. Just kinda taking it a day at a time. The past year was so off with us loosing our son at 26 weeks that I am nervous to get to that mark again.

I lost a son to fetal demise when I was in my 6th month. As tragic as it is, it happens. I too was terrified at my 6th month Ultrasound. That is when they found out it was twins. They didnt check before that 34 years ago. Surprise!!!! They were born 6 weeks early and were as healthy as they could be. What an amazing life it has been. Oh the stories I could tell you. So fun and sooo very special.

What are you so worried about? Try not to get upset and just trust your Drs. You will do Great. I am here for you.
