I had heartburn starting at 33 weeks when I was pregnant with my twins.

I started getting heartburn in my first trimester. My OB prescribed nexium which worked great...until now, it has started again since I am getting much bigger. I tried pepcid and tums before nexium and they did'nt work. Good Luck!

I've had acid reflux/ heartburn since starting in my 3rd tri. I can hardly wait til my girls deliver so that my digestive tract can go back to normal.

i had massive heart burn with all my preg.

sip boiling water..... just plain boiling water, it works.....

one night i had it soo bad, i was all out of tums, but i remembered i saw 1 under my bed..... imagine me, humongous with twins straining to reach this tum under my bed!!! i swear, it could have been there from my prev. preg. when i ate it it was 1/2 the size of a reg. tum...... but omg it helped.... grose i know but ya do what ya hafta do.....

ha! Yes, necessity sometimes over-rules normal boundaries! ha!

i had horid heart burn...my doc told me to take zantac when it got realy bad...and it helped a lot.
i had it every time i bent over, or layed down, or anything really...it was constant.
milk helps as well...or ice cream, anything cold that will coat your throat.

I had horrible bouts of heartburn with my last pregnancy and this one. I have to take zantac on a daily basis(generic is much cheaper, rentadine, they sell it at Family Dollar if you have those or Walgreens too). It works wonders!!

I had terrible heartburn from the moment I made them babies! I was on a lot of things. What helped thh most for fast relief was Alka-Selzer heartburn releif. It's lemon flovored and isn't all tht hard to swallow. I would have the 4oz of water with the tablets sitting on my headboard waiting for me in the middle of the night. Drink lots of water through out the day, it does help. I drank nothing but water most of my pregnancy. It sucks getting up to pee every half hour but at least you don't have te feeling like your going to throw up every half hour. Good Luck

I had heartburn while I was pregnant with my munchkins. I took a generic acid reducer and it worked great. I also found that Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream worked wonders for me.

I had it all the way into the latter half of my 2nd trimester and then it just went away. I used tums smoothies cocoa and creme. It was the only thing that gave me any releif!

I am 25 weeks and I get it sometimes, I take Tums and eat ice cream - both work. I like the ice cream better.

I too am 17 weeks and the Heartburn has been awful. I do the Tums and it seems to help. I am going to try the ice cream next.

I certainly like the ice cream idea!
