It is possible! My chiropractor's sister has triplets (and he and his wife are expecting twins all without fertility treatments!). I have 5 month old twins (boy/girl) and worried through the beginning of my pregnancy that I would go to an ultrasound and there would only be one heartbeat. It is perfectly normal to worry. You are carrying three miracles! Congratulations!

In every stage of parenting I found that EVERYONE has the DESPERATE desire to tell you their opinion, there experience and what "could, will possibly, and what might" happen. One of the things that I learned early on is to FILTER out the information and take only the information that you want. Then let go of all of the other garbage.

My sisters used to say to me..."you should tell the doctor that you want to induce early so that you dont get too big"...I thought that was absolutely riduculous...so I carried twins to 39 weeks and gave birth to two 7.5 pound babies who were happy and healthy...so, I did what was best for me and the babies.

You THINK positively and good things will happen...Your having Triplets...How awesome is that...??!! I am sp excited for you. Dont let the utterings of people who are clueless bring you down...Enjoy this time...We are here for you!

Thanks to all three of you. We definitely weren't expecting this...(this was all without fertility too and our first pregnancy) but now that they are here, I want them all! :)

Thanks for your kind and uplifting words. I need to learn to ignore the negative and focus on the positive. It just has been hard the last few days....I demanded another ultrasound and I have one next week. Hope that will ease some worry.

lizzygirl...that is awesome you carried them that long. My goal is also to carry them as long as possible.

Hey there congratulations I am the proud mommy of 4 year old triplet girls born via IVF at almost 35 weeks. They are normal active 4 year olds. Believe me I had the same fears as you when I found out I was pregnant with triplets I cried for weeks convinced I would die and so would they, my fertility doctor kept telling me to reduce because one or more of the babies would die. I am so glad I didn't listen to her. it is possible to carry triplets and it is very possible that they will all be healthy. It is hard but it is so worth it in the end. I have 9 month old triplets...I thought the same thing. I was actually in disbelief that I was pregnant with triplets....lol.. It can happen and I think its called the diasppearing twin syndrome (DTS)...But the chances are small and I wouldn't worry too much. It is completely normal to think this way, but try not to worry. Easier said then done I know, but try and enjoy being pregnant while you can. You are doing the right thing by finding groups like this. Support is the best.

The night I gave birth to my twins, a mom in the room next to me gave birth to healthy triplets. Plus look at John & Kate plus 8! :) Just take good care of yourself and stay in close touch with your doctor. Congratulations and good luck!

I am 20 weeks pregnant with triplets. I am worried also, but am trying to stay focused on the positive. Carrying 3 is SO different than just 1. I feel huge and bulky! Feel free to contact me and we can go through this together!

i live in a town with a ton of triplets..... i met a woman last week that carried her till 38 weeks!!! it is so pos. to do it..... rest, a lot, stay of your feet as much as pos. eat plenty of food, you treat your body as special, and commmit yourself to growing these babies .... YOU CAN DO IT are they strong and healthy right now????

Thank you to all who responded with love and support. Unfortunately, we lost our littlest baby a month ago. At this time, we are having twins and they seem to be doing well. I will keep you all posted on the two babies. Thanks again for all the support. :)
