Just curious, when did you have your baby shower? I'm pregnant with triplets and my sister is going to throw me a shower. I don't want to do it too early, but with triplets I just may be bed ridden by 30 weeks (who knows?) so I don't want it to be too late either.
Any advice?

I had my baby showered planned for right around 34 weeks and I had my twins the same weekend - never got the shower but everyone was so sweet and dropped off their gifts at my house. I would highly suggest having your baby shower early.

I agree with Skass! I actually had my shower after my girls were born.

I was due with my twins on May 24th. I had my shower March 15th and ended up delivering my munchkins April 15th at 34 weeks. I would have it early.

I had my shower on April 26th and delivered on May 8th at 33 weeks. I was so glad I had them to mine so early and should have done it a week or two earlier because I actually had hard core contractions going on at my shower and ended up in L & D that night (thankfully they got them stopped). Do it early. I would plan around 29 weeks or earlyer because triplets usually come by 32 weeks from what I understand. you also want time to get stuff out and arranged. I freaked out, since I went into labor on the same day as my shower I got put on bed rest and couldn't got through the gifts. 5 days after my c-section I was up cleaning and putting baby stuff in places cause I didn't want my twins to come home to a half way done nursery and I needed a lot of the things I got from my shower.

I had my shower at 28 weeks and was glad that we did it early because my girls were born at 33 weeks. The down side to this was everyone kept telling me that I didn't look very big to be pregnant with twins.

My shower was planned for 28 weeks and I was put on bed rest at 27! I missed my own shower and my husband had to attend in my stead. It was pretty heartbreaking. I had friends put together another local one where I got to sit on my couch as they brought in food and gifts. It was lovely, but the guilt I felt was pretty extreme. I think the earlier the better!

The best advice I could give you is to have your shower early My Twins were do Nov 6. I had my baby shower Sept 6th and my babies were born in Sept 22nd at 33 weeks. You dont realize how much stuff you get at your shower most of the items have to be assembled in some way. Plus you are going to want to have everything organized and ready way before the babies are born. For me I felt so much more organized and ready to give birth knowing I had everything put together all I had to do was wait to give birth everything else was done !!

Also pregnant with triplets and we are planning for my shower to happen sometime in February. There is so much uncertainty about bed rest and I definitely don't want to miss it so we are going to have it early. I've asked my sister not to make it a "multiples or triplets" theme just because I am very sensitive to the idea of losing someone so we are just sticking to my nursery decor...animals. I will be about 24 weeks around the time of my shower (I think) and my doctors have said bed rest is possible between 20-28 weeks...hopefully the later of the two...or better yet, not at all!

I was in the hospital with pre-term labor - the nurses let me use a large break room. My suggestion is to do it early, just in case bed rest becomes a factor.
