Turner Syndrome Support Group
Turner syndrome encompasses a number of chromosomal abnormalities, of which monosomy X, is the most common. It occurs in 1 out of every 2,500 female births. Instead of the normal XX sex chromosomes for a female, only one X chromosome is present and fully functional. In Turner syndrome, female sexual characteristics are present but underdeveloped.
I agree that her eating habits could be connected with TS. I have a classic case of the syndrome and have been told my stomach was very sensitive when I was little; which could be the same case for your daughter. I would kind of describe it as a "phase" as that all changed as I got older; I'm sure as she gets older she will start eating more. I would suggest keep introducing new foods and perhaps keep trying different textures with her: to see how she reacts with them, perhaps she will find something new she really likes. :)
Good luck at the doctors appointment!
