So, I'm 18 years old, and was just diagnosed with TS about two months ago. It was definitely a pretty big shock. I'm probably going to be rambling, but if you read it all, some advice or encouragements would be really awesome. 

I found out about the TS diagnosis about two months ago, and everything seems to have changed. My personal life has been sort of a mess here lately as well. Once I found out about my diagnosis, I had to tell my boyfriend, because keeping secrets isn't really the best thing to do in a relationship. Fortunately for me, we had been dating for over 3 years now, and the diagnosis didn't scare him off and cause him to leave me. But, I keep feeling all of this guilt. I feel like he has this opportunity to go out and meet an incredible, smart, and beautiful woman, and have a family and children of his own, and I'm keeping him from that. I feel like I'm holding him back, and taking away one of the things he was most looking forward to in his future. Any time that talk about our potential future together had come up in the past, we always knew we both wanted kids. We are both really family oriented people, and a big family was something we always knew we wanted. We wanted to be old and grey-haired with lots of little grandchildren crawling and bouncing around while we sit in our rocking chairs. And it's probably the worst feeling in the world knowing that I'm taking away his opportunity to have children naturally. And it's very difficult to wrap my mind around the fact that I probably will not ever know what it is like to feel my own child kicking around in my belly, or to experience exactly what it's like to have weird cravings, and morning sickness, or anything wonderful or terrible about being pregnant or giving birth to a child. It just seems like anytime I think about my future, I can't be happy. Because even though adoption is a wonderful thing, and it could really help children in a terrible situation, it feels so crushing to think that I might not ever get to know what it's like to have my own children naturally. On top of the medical concerns that TS can bring, and the personal feelings of guilt, I had to deal with my stepfather walking out on my family on my graduation day. With everything happening all at once, it just kinda feels hopeless to focus on the positives in my life. My friends aren't very supportive or eager to listen either, and it's mostly because they just don't understand, and I know that it's not their fault, they just don't get it. I told one of my friends in particular about my diagnosis, and all I get is a hug and them saying "You can always adopt, it'll be okay." They haven't asked me how I'm doing since the diagnoses, or since my stepfather walked out on me. I mean, I'm not expecting much from them, I just wanted to hear them say they were sorry that this is happening, and that they'll be there if I need to talk, and then actually check up on me when they don't hear from me in a couple days. I don't know. Is that expecting too much? I'm going through a really rough patch, and I guess what I'm looking for is to hear from people that actually do understand, and for someone to encourage me and tell me that it does all really suck, but eventually it'll get better. Because it has to get better eventually, right?
