I am a 27 year old with TS and I have been reading through some of the beautiful stories from the brave young ladies on this site. I was diagnosed at birth and always knew a very little bit about it growing up. I started singing lessons as a young girl and fell in love with broadway musicals. At 13 I was told I could be given growth hormones if i wanted to be a little taller. My first question was if it would effect my voice. When I was told it could i immediatly decided it was not worth it in my case. I ended up going to a musical theatre school and now work professionally as an actress and singer. I get most of my work playing children. I even do voice over work on a childrens show so I am known for my young sound and appearance.

I wanted to let everyone who is struggling know that yes it does take courage but happiness is possible. We have been handed difficult circumstances in our lives no question about it. I have two normal height gorgeous sisters and sometimes I still get bothered seeing pictures of us together and all i can do is rip myself apart for how much shorter i am and all i see is my moles. Those times are still tough but I am so lucky to have such loving people around to hug me extra tight and remind me as often as I need how loved I am. I can only wish the same for all of you. Go after whatever you want in life and surround yourselves with people who will build you up instead of knocking you down.
