A group for those who have suffered a stillbirth and are considering ttc or actively ttc again. We know the emotional challenges of trying again and who better to support us than others who have been through what we have been through.

Ok you ladies probably think I'm nuts because everything I read about ttc gets me worried, but once I set my mind on something I get serious..lol. Anyways I read in some websites that by the time you get a + OPK it may be too late. "What?!" I thought the purpose of the OPK was to give advance notice that you will ovulate? Some of you ladies who have gotten your BFP wrote that you BD the day/days before your + OPK. Nature is so confusing sometimes.

I noticed EWCM and ferning of my saliva two days before my + OPK (no ferning day of +) so now I'm wondering if it was too late for me. Well I would love to read what you ladies know on that subject or any advice or ideas.

I know how much I have driven myself crazy with all this stuff online..what I think the author was trying to say is that...around the time that you anticipate ovulation, you should check OPKs like twice a day. The whole idea being that lets say, you do one at 9 am on a Saturday and its negative but your LH really does surge later on that day and you check on 9 am Sunday and its somewhat positive, you may have missed that "peak" by only checking once a day. Remember that ovulation is supposed to occur about 10-12 hours at the earliest after a LH first surges. Atleast I think that's what it means!! I would say that if your husband has no sperm issues, just BD every other day until you get ur positive OPK and then do it daily for the next three days!! Good luck honey!!! When are you expecting your AF?-just so I can keep my fingers crossed for you!!

I think your safe! I did luck up and BD during the days leading up to the positive and happened to have a BFP that month. I wish I could tell you which BD "got the job done"! I've always read that you have 48 hours or so after the positive.
In addiction to OPK, I was also checking my CM and cervical position which gave me a little bit of a heads up before the positive OPK. did you BD when you had EWCM? You should ALWAYS BD when you have that! Everything is so confusing online and all the information seems to have a "but not always" behind it. It can be so discouraging! I know how you feel... if you read my journals from March and April 2010 you can see I was not in a good state of mind and I was completely hopeless after 10 months of trying. Its enough to drive anyone crazy!!! Keep your head up and trust that it WILL happen!!!

Ok, I know better than to go online checking for clues like on "twoweekwait" because there are so many other stories that the couple BD prior to +OPK and got BFP's. DARN!! I'm getting quite discouraged, this is our 3rd month ttc and I think my DH is getting bored with it. I just want to be prego sooo bad. I got my +OPK on 9/10, BD on 9/10, 9/11,9/12, and 9/13.
Still no symptoms so I guess I'll be ordering more OPK's online for next month :<.

Don't lose hope just yet. I think it's still way too early for any symptoms. If you got your positive OPK on the 10th that means that the earliest you can test is probably around the 21st or so (and that's on the early side). I think it'd be too soon to notice any of the symptoms.

I got my positive around the same time as you - I'm not planning on testing until the 23rd.

Oh I forgot to add - Keep in mind it takes around a week for the egg to implant - so that egg of yours may not have even implanted and is still traveling.
