Sorry about no smiley. I found out by using OPKs that I am a late ovulater. Around day 17 or 18 and even as late as 19 on a 28 day cycle. (I now know I have a luteal phase defect, but diff story for a diff post) keep testing!! and dont give up. You might want to think about getting some of the internet cheapies. I think earlypregnancytest.com has them. You get like 40 for 10 bucks and can test like 3 times a day and DH wont get mad at the cost! lol, been there and done that! Good Luck!!

I second the recommendation to get the internet cheapies. I kept missing my ovulation with the CBE digital because I was only doing it once a day. Once I had the cheap tests, I could take more, and that's the month I got pregnant, because we knew EXACTLY which day I had ovulated.

I Just got my positive smiley face yesterday...i tested at 1030 am and it was negative and than i tested at 400 pm and it was positive....i ovulate late as well.I Was Cd19 yesterday. I used these tests last month and got positive on cd19 also....so i guess i am starting to see a pattern

get the internet cheapies! I got mine from www.early-pregnancy-tests.com. I tried the brands from the store but my cycles vary so much that I needed waaaay more than 7 OPK per cycle! I bought like 50 and tested 3x a day and FINALLY got a surge on day 21 or so... keep the faith! The concept that ovulation happens on day 14 is complete and total crap! It may be true for some but NOT everyone, I wouldn't even say the majority!

Also, do some reading on fertile cervical mucus and cervical position. Gross as it may be, the month I used OPK, tracked cervical mucus and position I was able to pin point ovulation and ultimately we conceived that cycle!

def the cheap interenet tests!!! i bought them last month and used them. I was taking them in the morning and realized that that is best for a HPT but a OPK it is better to use the afternoon urine. Also, you aill start getting lines a couple days before the surge and watch the line get darker and darker until you get the real positive (when the line is darker than the control line) gives you a kind of heads up to start BDing early!! I think I missed the actual surge by a couple hours because they got darker and darker, but not quite, but then the next day they started getting lighter, so i think I surged in the middle of the night (i am a third shifter, so it does not surprise me at all! hopefully this month I will get the clear positive, and we will have a BFP by sept! i ovulate about CD18 on a 30 day cycle.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm even ovulating because I still haven't gotten a positive on my OPK testing, I'm on CD19 already. I went and got the regular two line tests cuz they're cheaper. What I did notice was that the line had gotten lighter in the last few days. Does that mean that I already ovulated or does it mean anything at all?
