TTC after stillbirth Community Group
A group for those who have suffered a stillbirth and are considering ttc or actively ttc again. We know the emotional challenges of trying again and who better to support us than others who have been through what we have been through.
This is probably a dumb question, but I'll embarrass myself and ask anyways. Does a female have to have an orgasm during intercourse to conceive? Does it make it easier to conceive? I saw a program stating that when a female climaxes the cervix opens or something. I dont now, I was just curious because I rarely do during intercourse.

Its not a dumb question. I think it definitely doesn't hurt if a female has an orgasm b/c of contractions along the vaginal wall. But it isn't necessary. Think of women who conceive after they've been raped after all..I think that if you are pregnant and later in your pregnancy, if you do have an incompetent cervix, then it is advised that you avoid orgasm or even intercourse b/c it could potentially lead to cervical dilation. First of all, there are no dumb questions on here. I have read about this is in the book Trying Again. They did mention that it helps. However, it is not necessary. It supposedly helps pull in the little swimmers and help them to get further upstream and faster. I hope that makes sense. Bes wishes, Stacy

Everything I've read said it does help, but it's not necessary. Good luck on TTC sweety. Sending prayers & baby dust your way. :)

I actually read somewhere that orgasms sometimes don't help.. I think because of the mucus and such, it changes. But I have also read the opposite, I do believe each of our bodies are so different, that even if you don't or do, if the timing is right, God will bless you, and hopefully all the rest of us too :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
