TTC after stillbirth Community Group
A group for those who have suffered a stillbirth and are considering ttc or actively ttc again. We know the emotional challenges of trying again and who better to support us than others who have been through what we have been through.

Okay, so my husband and I finally got the go ahead last week to TTC, and I have become OBSESSED with mentally calculating out dates and when I will ovulate, and if i get pregnant at this time, they'll be due at this time. My only thing is that he doesn't want me to do anything to figure out when i am ovulating. No test kits, no temperatures, nothing. He is just deadset on the premise that when it is supposed to happen it will happen.
Thats fine and all, because I don't know how to do all that stuff anyway, but I just can't stop planning and "scheming" lol about the best times. Its already driving me nuts! Any advice about it? I heard things like you should only try every other day, etc. Thanks ladies!

I know what you mean. It becomes a big part of what we think about. It's good advice to just see what happens at first. But at the same time, I think it's ok if you calculate when you ovulate so that you can atleast better your chances and know when ou are most likely to concieve. You can count back 14 days from your last period and that is when you ovulated most likely. Keep in mind everybody's cycles vary. I ovulate on day 18 but some women ovulate on day 14 of their cycle. It will happen when it's supposed to and just try to have fun in the process. Wishing you luck and sending you lots of baby dust. Hugs, Liz

I'm a planner and a calculating kind of person so when my husband and I tried the "let's just see what happens" thing, it drove me nuts. Now we're using ovulation test strips. I'm doing it more so I can track my wacky cycle, and so I can know when might be a decent time to be able to test for pregnancy. There are a few things you can do (on your own) to watch for physical signs of ovulation without using any kind of test strips. I've read that you're likely to have a stronger sex drive when you're ovulating. (This makes sense to me; nature's way of taking care of things.) You can also monitor your cervical mucus. You can read about it online, I won't go in to detail. You could search "physical signs of ovulation." I've also heard about the every other day strategy with the idea that sperm can live and hang out for 3 days. Good luck!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
