I am new to this site or really even talking to anyone. I know most of you recently had a miscarriage mine was a while ago but it seems to haunt me everyday. I know teenagers aren't suppose to get pregnant, if I could do it over I would. But at 15 years I met my first true love, we got pregnant. Things were fine for almost 2 months but then I got very sick and there was no heartbeat. I went off the deep end. The guy left me and blamed my miscarriage on me. My family had me in the hospital and on suicide watch, I lost all kinds of weight. My life was miserable. After a while I put on a smile and went on with lif eon the outside. THe inside I was screaming. Finally I met the love of my life and got married. My parents hated the teen pregnancy so we don't talk and my husband now doesnt like to talk about anything with the past guy in it, and other than family I have no friends. So bascically I need to talk about this, it has eaten ar me for years. Still does everyday. It really is hard now because my husband and I have decided to start trying to conciebe finally, and we have been trying since November of 2010 and due to some medical reasons the possibility isn't out and we are working adn I am very hopeful but it is really eating at me . I need a friend or soemone to talk to me. Anyone has words or advice would be greatly appreciatate. I am trying to learn to love myself again so i can truly love life and others. Would love to get into some conversations with someone who has been ttc cause I am kinda new at all this and not dealing well with it.

Hi. I'm sorry about your loss. It is so common for people to discourage talk about miscarriages. I'm sure you being a teenager made it very hard for your parents to cope with but from my experience I've noticed that no matter how old you are the subject of miscarriage is considered taboo to so many. I've had 2 miscarriages and after the last one I confronted my mother about how they should talk to me about it. I am 27. The miscarriages were being treated as a lesson learned type of experience even though there was nothing that I could do to prevent either miscarriage. Maybe you could explain to them that regardless of how old you were that the baby you lost was a part of you and their first grandchild. I do believe that if you don't express your feelings about your loss that it will take longer to heal mentally from it. It took me a while to heal over the first miscarriage because even though I was married (and still am) at that time I did not have a good support system. I couldn't talk about it without having a full blown argument. The last miscarriage was different because my hubby was very supportive and I was able to talk to my mother about the baby. I have grieved easier instead of falling into a deep depression like the first time. Although the grieving process is hard, I think support makes it easier and is vital in healing from the pain of a miscarriage. I know your husband may not like the idea of hearing about your ex but at the same time the baby just wasn't a part of your ex it was a part of you too so maybe if you explain it to him that way it may help the communication lines between you and him on the subject of the baby. You will find so much support here on DS. I do suggest talking to someone whether it be joining a group or finding someone because it feels good to be able to openly talk to someone and be encouraged. I'm not sure what medical reasons you have, but I have PCOS and it makes maintaining a pregnancy harder for me but we are not giving up on trying to have a baby. I'm here for you whenever you want to talk and nice to have you here.
