I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my first on 5/13/11. My cousin was pregnant at the same time I was and she just delivered her healthy baby yesterday.
My cycles were normally 29 days and my first two periods after the D&E were way longer than normal 33 days and then 35 days the month after. My husband an I weren't trying yet so I knew it couldn't be that...it was weird...but then it got closer to 30 days. Give it some time and since you are ready to concieve a fertility monitor is a good idea because your ovulation date will be different now too.
Good luck and I know it will happen for you soon!

Miscarriage messes you up!!!! Don't expect anything to feel normal. I used to have very regular 28-day periods, and now they are coming around day 25 or 6. And the pain was worse for me the first couple of months. I was waking up in the night with pain in my stomach from stress and grief, and trying to convince myself it was morning sickness. And my breasts have been achy and sore around week 3, just to fool me, too. I never remember that happening to me before.
Yes, people do get pregnant again after miscarriage without even going through a period. But for me, I am so sick of feeling hopeful and then getting crushed. The only things I believe in anymore are periods and pregnancy tests. All the other "symptoms" just mislead too easily.
I'm sorry for your pain and disappointment. Believe me, I feel it. Just know you're not the only one who goes through this. best,
Katie
