TTC for 17 months

I came to this site because it seems like nobody I know understands how depressing it is to get a negative every month when you are TTC. And if that isn't enough, it also seems like EVERY women I know is pregnant! As I said in the subject line, my husband and I have been trying for 17 months. We have already had a child which I am more than grateful for. I love him to pieces. I guess I came here looking for other women who understand what we are going through and was hoping that a few of you could share some of your success stories? Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry, I definitely can relate. That's what brought me here too. I don't have a success story to share with you unfortunately but I can't definitely understand your frustration and discouragement. It's devastating to see BFN month after month. Have you had any tests ran on either of you? My DH and I have tried for 3yrs after 5yrs on the pill. We don't have any children together but both have children from our previous relationship. We've been married for 5yrs and two years later decided we badly wanted to share one or two of our own to complete our family. I went off the pill and have had no luck since. I was incredibly fertile with my children and never TTC so it's definitely frustrating and hopefully we get our BFP'S soon!!

Dear victoriax, I'm sorry. I can share it with you. Being TTC for 17 months is really emotionally draining. I know perfectly well what you're feeling now, poor girl. But we're in the same boat of waiting.
I'm 41 yo, husband is 44. We had been TTC for 2 years, but unfortunately no success stories up to this moment. Several months ago we've tried ICSI which ended in early miscarriage.
This time we decided it to be the treatment abroad. Our doc suggested us to go straight to egg donation.
Following his advice we applied for de ivf program of 5 att in Ukrainian Biotexcom. Now this is week 4 of our treatment.
So the situation gets more complicated to our family. What about you? Are you going to start any fertility investigations? Here time doesn't play on our side..
