So i am 2 days late and had an iui on the 10th of August i have taken like 3 hpt and they all said BFN but this morning i went to the bathroom and had very light pink on the toilet paper im not cramping and i have had no more of it, my question is could i be pregnant or is this just the begining of AF? I cant get ahold of my DR to get a blood test so im kinda in the dark right now. I have had all the early pregnancy symptoms so i dont know what to do? please any advice will help thank you
This is why this ecosystem of ours is so heavily flawed. Implantation bleeding and AF time should NOT coincide, but they do.
The three negative HPTs give me pause, but of course you could have low hcg levels if you implanted late. Since I don't know all your symptoms, it's worth noting some pregnancy symptoms overlap with PMS symptoms which makes using them as identifying markers for pregnancy difficult. This drives me crazy too. Are you having symptoms you've never had with PMS before?
Pink spotting is not a sure sign of either implantation or AF. What you're looking for is brown blood. Brownish blood is related to implantation bleeding because it's older blood. So watch for that. If you get any cramping, you may be likely to start your period. But let's not say anything definitively. You can keep testing everyday if you can afford the tests and it reassures you to try it, or you can just stop and see what happens. I tested all the time when I first started.
Keep trying your doc to see if you can get into a lab to get your blood drawn. This could be a delayed cycle or you could be slow out of the gate with your levels.
Either way, I know you're probably chomping at the bit to get an answer. This is the part of the 2WW that really does a number on us. The extended 2WW.
