I'm hoping somebody has had this experience and can give me some words of wisdom. My husband and I are ttc after a m/c in August. We are using femara days 3-7, and an Ovidrel shot around day 14. This is also how we got pregnant this summer. Anyway, this is our first month back ttc, and around day 8 or 9 I started having some twinges of pain in the area of my right ovary. When I went in for my Day 11 ultrasound, in the words of my dr "there's a lot going on in there." Had a bunch of follicles including two that would definitely mature and two that were likely to mature. Anyway, according to their calculations of follicle size I was told to give the shot on day 14, which was last Tuesday. The pain in my right ovary kept increasing and reached a peak on Thursday. I didn't think much of it though, because the dr had told me to expect it based on what was going on in that ovary. But, here's my question. I'm still having pain and discomfort now on day 19, when with the Ovidrel shot I should have ovulated 3 or 4 days ago. Do you think that this means that for some reason I did not ovulate, or is it possible to still be having pain/discomfort in that ovary after ovulation? I'm stressed and bummed because I was so excited after our day 11 ultrasound, and now I'm just worried that something happened and I didn't ovulate. My dr made it seem like the Ovidrel was a pretty sure bet (in terms of making you ovulate). Does anybody have any experience in this or any thoughts? Thanks so much!
