I was diagnosed with a prolactima tumor (2cm) in June 2016. I've been talking cabergoline since then. My score started at 900 and has since gone down to 166, which is good! I haven't had my period or ovulated in over a year. I take my meds, eat healthy, workout and go for blood work monthly. It's just the slowest process ever!

I was so happy to find a group that understands this struggle! It's hard, lonely and I find people aren't the most understanding, concerned or polite.

I'm married,going to be 34 next month so It's a really depressing situation to be around family, people with kids or pregnant people. I can't escape the dreaded question "When are you going to have kids?" Or "when you have kids..." I feel like I'm always getting judged for being the career woman who doesn't have kids. I don't even think my husband fully understands. Society has a lack of emphathy for the childless woman who may be struggling with miscarriages or infertility.

I mostly have positive, good days but there are times like today that make me sad. This weekend my husband was crying about not being able to have kids and it broke my heart. My husband never cries and it totally hurt me to think I may not be able to give him a child. Trying to stay strong and positive for the future.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I'm new to this group and your story hit home to me. I have been struggling to find someone who understands what I'm going through. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year now. I went to one OBGYN and she just told me it takes time. I knew something was wrong with me. My yearly visit came back normal, but I felt in my guy something was wrong. So I went to a different doctor, she said the same thing. After bagging to run some extra tests they found my prolactin levels were high. So now more testing is coming up. My husband just says not to worry about it, I'm over reacting about it. I might be, but family doesn't help. Mostly his family. His family are much the same as yours. Always ask when are we having kids, blah blah blah. They never ask me how work is going or how I have been. When I go to the in-laws I feel like I'm a nobody until I have a kid. I avoid family get togethers as much as possible. It doesn't help that my brother-in-law and his wife are pregnant, and at such a young age too. That's a whole different story. I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. Really helps me feel better knowing I'm not the only one going through this experience, or crazy for hating that one question "when are you having kids".

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your story. I'm happy to hear I'm not alone. I find that it helps to maintain a strong, happy, positive mind, but some days can be hard. I'd give you a hug if I could and tell you everything is going to be okay! You are a very important person! The most important thing right now is YOU and focusing on getting better.

I wish there were more talk publicly about infertility struggles. Its such a long, difficult road for some women and many feel alone and confused and not really listened too. You get advice like "it will happen when it's right" or "maybe your stressed."
