Hi there. I can relate. During my 5 years of TTC due to male factor, i have experienced many different emotions and frustration is on top of the list. Hi Tiffany, thank you for your kind words, I feel your pain and hear you that God is not a fool, why would he give children to people who clearly do not want them, cannot look after, or abuse them and leave us out, I too believe there is much more to it. Today is particularly hard for me as my period is scheduled to start tomorrow, and I think it may be on its way. I cried in the shower this morning, I felt so defeated, sad, and alone like God has forgotten me, and my body has let me down once again. I just feel low, I have not spoken to my hubby about it yet because its too soon to know for sure if it is my period, but the thought of taking the pill to make me ovulate again, the cravings then the need to keep trying is making me feel so discouraged, I don't think I will go for another cycle immediately, I may give this month a miss. What hurts most is that according to my gynae and the tests I have taken everything on my end is a go. Being African our men aren't too keen on the tests ie sperm count etc for him to go and see a doc about it is a tall order. I will sit it out this month if the period comes, I just can't right now. I am also a woman who was diagnosed with pcos. It has affected my life considerably as a single, celibate young woman.

What helps me is really controlling my diet. I am 22, 5' 4" and around 128 pounds yet my insulin and cholesterol levels have been high.

I notice a lot of mood changes that have been helped by eating frequent small meals. Limiting my stress helps. Caffeine is a biggie for me. If I change the amount of caffeine I consume or consume too much in a certain time I experience blood sugar problems. If you have a libido that is very high, you are not alone. I can relate to this as this was a problem for me recently. It may be good to make dietary changes and start a moderate to vigorous exercise regime. Eat a diet that includes vegetables, plant and some animal based protein. Limit soy and dairy, sugar and refined flour if this relates to you. If you experience an extremely high libido that is unwanted, I would recommend the herbs mint and fenugreek, or chaste tree berry, as these supplements have helped me in the past. Friendship, organizing my time and learning to react to life pressures is also helping me.
