Hello, I am Ally =) A little background about me!
I live in NH and have been with my Husband for almost 9 years. We went to HS together, moved in together in 2013, Bought a house in 2015, got married in 2016, and now are trying to start a family. We started TTC in May. I have fairly regular periods. They generally begin as heavy right off the bat, no spotting, and lots of pain. The are pretty regular, coming every 28-30 days. In June, I spotted two days before AF started, and was very emotional and confused as it has never happened to me. I was told maybe IB, and wont lie-I got my hopes up. Then on June 29th I got a full flow and my hopes were crushed. I went into July VERY positive, and told myself that I cannot expect to get pregnant right away, it takes some years even if healthy! I was due for AF this coming friday, July 29th. I started light brown spotting yesterday, the 24th, and today it has gotten lighter, then heavier (not enough for a pad), then none, then brown. It is a mix between light red, brown and pink. This month I felt so many different symptoms, so I really hoped and prayed. It appears, though, that it is too heavy I guess for IB and AF is on her merry way. To make matters worse, my best friend told me the day after I got married she was pregnant. I of course, am happy for her and already started buying her future son things; but deep down I am feeling jealous and sad, it only took her a month! then I feel quilty for feeling so =(
I started prenatals in May, and we used preseed this month.
As far as I know my husband is healthy. He has a check up in August. He has been taking vitamins since June, and is starting Fertailaid today. He also quit smoking and rarely drinks,
I, am not so healthy-so maybe that is why it isnt happening? I was diagnosed in May with a SEVERE B12 and D3 deficiency. Since diagnosis, i have been on regular vitamins and a percription shot and pill. My levels in May were not great. I do have an appointment to get rechecked in August and also an appt. with my OBGYN.
I know I shouldnt be upset, im sure many of you have been trying months and months and years and years longer.
I dont know why i feel this way, maybe it is because I know my Husbands mother is running out of time, and we so desperately want her to see her future grandbaby before time is up? Either way, I cant help my feelings. I am trying to keep busy, enjoy the company of my husband, and I feel as each month passes I am less and less jealous of my best friend. Maybe this feeling will go away? I am hoping! Here is to TTC next month. FX.
I live in MA so we are close! I'm new to this forum, but I wanted you to know that I totally identify with a lot of what you're going through. My husband and I have been married for almost 2 years and I got off birth control pills in January. He is 36 and I am almost 29. I've been tracking my cycles, taking prenatals, had all the tests (which have all come back normal), but so far I have not gotten pregnant. My best friend also announced she was pregnant a month after she got married and now her son is 3 months old. I feel like everyone around me is expecting! I've literally hidden half of the people I'm friends with on FB because I just can't bear to see bump and ultrasound photos. How do you cope with the jealousy? I try not to let it consume me or to wallow in self-pity, but it's so incredibly hard! Every time I see a pregnant woman my heart just aches. Do you feel like your husband understands how you feel?

I am glad someone identifies. I am on several TTC FB groups and I keep seeing BFP's and it is breaking my heart. I am also seeing ad's for babies =( my best friend has been a little quieter about her pregnancy-so that makes me feel better as she almost seemed to be bragging, and I have been really busy so we haven't really hung out, so it has not effected me as much, but I am sure If I am not pregnant by the time she gives birth in January I will be even sadder. She wasnt very supportive of my emotions early on, but she recently told me ill be pregnant soon, she knows it and she had a dream about it...so that made me feel better. I have tried to deactivate FB and it doesn't help..I feel like talking to someone who understands helps the most. To cope, I have decided to take on some projects at home and spend more time with my horses. The projects are painting and re decorating, my favorite things!
I tried to explain it to my husband; while I dont think he understands, he has been VERY supportive.
Honestly, I don' t get why we feel this way. We are young, and the average woman can take up to a year, even when healthy. I get all upset but then feel silly and try to talk myself down, but just saying itll happen and being positive. I think the more I stay busy and work on our house stuff the less upset I am. I am going to repaint all the rooms and get to re decorate, so maybe taking my mind off it will allow me to relax and maybe itll work!
Having said that, I see my Dr. next week and my GYNO the week after..I think something is off..my June period was on time but I spotted, which never happens.
Then this month, AF came 5 days early, and only lasted 1.5 days. I spotted before and after (brown/pink) and my flow was light and my cramps were light. Im never irregular like this. I have been on my deficiency meds and prenatals a while..so I dont think it is that.Hubby as an appt to so hopefully we can ensure we are both healthy enough to conceive.
