Im glad i came across this group and after reading so many of your stories im glad to see im not alone...Sometimes its hard to put into words or even talk to anyone close to you about it when TTC but i will try here....
Im 31 and hubby is 37. Weve been together for 11 years. I was on birth control for the first 5 years of our lives together. From then until now we have not been using contraception. Ok i may have been a bit naive in thinking "its so easy for everyone else in my family, no sweat for me surely".... so we didnt really "try" and just thought it would happen.... i was so wrong. For the last year we have been actively trying with the help of pre preg mulits, OPKs, charting etc but nothing has happened. He has 2 kids from a previous relationship which makes this seem like all my fault that its not happening. I would class ourselves as healthy individuals. We arent overweight, we eat healthy, exercise regularly, no excessive drinking, not overly stressed etc etc.....My periods have been like clockwork for the last 3 years and are as normal as a period should be. I get spotting for a couple of mornings afterward and sometimes during ovulation but have been told that this is normal. I have a 2cm cyst on my left ovary which my gp said is perfectly fine and not causing any problems but ive noticed that its only every second month i ovulate and even then on the right side ovulation cycle i dont always ovulate (according to the OPKs).I asked about having it removed as wouldnt it be hindering my chances of TTC and told that its not that much of an issue so best to leave it. Ovulation time from my left used to be extremely painful but has now gone to a dull ache on the odd occasion.
I walk down the street and all i seem to see are pregnant women with beautiful baby bumps or families with children and so many emotions flood me in such a short time. Ander, sadness, confusion, alot of questioning..... Why? Will it ever happen for me? So many of my friends have started their families already and its hard to talk to them about this because i feel like they truely need to feel how i feel to even relate to what i say. I really didnt think i would have to look into IVF but that is a very high possibility now....
Basically what im looking for is support from people/ a person who can relate to this, someone to message back and forth with sharing and helping each other feel better, encouraged, inspired, loved, important and not at fault. What better place to look than here.

I haven't gone into huge depth yet like blood tests, IUI etc but am seriously looking at the options. Hubby is very supportive as well but I get the feeling he thinks it will just happen. Sometimes I feel like I'm over stressing, like I'm only getting older and hoping it happens sooner rather than later, sometimes that's all that's on my mind. Thinking about what it would be like, playing out different situations etc. no doubt you do that too... and oh the feelings of other pregnancy announcements.... really gets you down...
I'm still thinking of how similar we seem. Funny
