My af is really short too, and the flow is always light. Except for the first day, it's borderline heavy.
I'm trying not to stress too much. I just never paid any attention to my body up until this whole ordeal. I had a mishap with my bcp, and wound up pregnant. Which was very much wanted. But I couldn't keep it. The heart either never developed or quit. I've been ttc since November. And nothing. When I was on bcps my cycles were longer, by a few days. And the flow hasn't changed at all. Ugh, wish this were easier for all of us.
I had a 25/26 day cycle, didn't track ovulation at first but noticed that I had basically NO FLOW. I mean I never filled up a single tampon, they had just a twinge and I would only use 3-4 in a 24 hour period and never need anything else.
After a few months of TTC and having no flow, I used a couple OPK's and I got a very minor response to them, I don't think I actually ever ovulated. We tried clomid once, had the ultrasound, there was a follicle, tracked with OPK and I did ovulate that month.
I never used Clomid again but I can now feel myself ovulate and occasionally I'll use the OPK. Weirdly my cycle lengthened itself out to 26-28 days. I think I have a 26 day cycle on the left side (ovulate @12 days) and I have a 28 day cycle on the right side (ovulate at 14 days). Since the miscarriage I do have a heavier flow, until this month it's really light again, might be me going back to normal or just stress, who knows.
We too had a fetus where the heart stopped, but like I said, my body still acted like it was pregnant, I actually had worse morning sickness/exhaustion, the longer it went on, my body never recognized that I shouldn't have been pregnant. I hope that means that it was just a fluke, the heart didn't develop and that we'll never have to go through this again.
I know that we also suffer from male factor problems, we have enough swimmers they are just slow. Have you ever had your husband/partner tested? It's about an $80 test and could shed alot of light on the situation.
I've increased our vitamins and gotten hubby some stuff to help speed his little guys up. Hoping it helps so that we get one past the goalie sooner than later. Don't understand why some ppl can look at each other and get pregnant and others can't get it right after 100 tries.
And no worries about tmi. I'm a home health aid, and takes a lot to offend me or gross me out. Lol.
It's weird how you grow up listening to the sex talk, and always use a rubber to protect yourself and from pregnancy. But damn, I never imagined in a million years I would be obsessing about this baby stuff. It's so weird. Then I know someone who somehow got pg while on twoddifferent bcs at the same time. I will admit I'm bitter and angry cause it isn't fair. I'm not mad at her, just at life.
I remember being on the pill and taking antibiotics for the sinus infections I get and the pharmacist would always tell me to use another form of protection. I always freaked out that we'd get pregnant, now we can't get pregnant no matter how hard we try.
I've got hubby on all sorts of vitamins, I wonder what else I should do to help this. AAHHHHH!!!! drives me freaking batty. And then yeah you know someone who has no clue when they ovulate, maybe don't even know which hole it goes into and they get knocked up right and left.
