Lost and Alone - Need of support

This is my first ever discussion group, but I was feeling so lost and alone and in need of chatting to people who got it. I have been trying to conceive for 3 years, I understand there are others who have been trying for longer than that and I just want to acknowledge that too. What I find tough is when others who married after me are conceiving with ease or those who aren;t trying or dont want kids are conceiving. I want to show them joy and happiness, and I do but I'm so sad when I am not with them and alone. I don't want to be that person. I want to be happy for them.


I also am the oldest sibling in my family and the only one going through it, and with my mum being able to conceive 5 times its hard for her at times to understand what I am going through. Each month when it doesn't happen again it just brings me down. And I need ideas and ways to support me in being ok with the journey. Another problem is stress for me, the solution most offer is don't stress or think about it, but it's not something you can easily get off your mind. I'm sorry for waffling, I just haven't had a chance to talk to others.

Wow....its almost like you reached into my mind. I feel the same way. My husband and I also have tried to conceive, I would say seriously for last two years. But it feels better to know others are in the same boat. It feels talking to others, like silly. So I feel you. We just keep trying and move forward. :)

alwayspatient, just hearing your reply has lifted some sort of weight. Knowing that I'm not the only one out there. Thanks for the reply. It means a lot and has already supported in chipping away at those tough feelings. Thank you :) Nice to know there are people like me!

Me too! 2 years of this hope-depression roller coaster. I don’t feel comfortable talking to almost any woman I know. Women with kids, who are pregnant, mothers in general. My sister went through IVF and had twin boys successfully. But I can’t talk to her. She doesn’t understand how much it hurts to spend time with my beautiful nefews. We all do the best we can. I love you girls❤️

Same here two years was on the stupid injection I would never recommend it to anyone. Anyway have my period back normal and regular and babe tried for almost two years with no luck at all been to docs had blood test nothing showed up so they are referring me to gyno to be checked. My husband has a boy so thinking he must be OK. However I am feeling realy down as was told because my husband has a child we wouldn't get Ivf on the NHS. Which I think is appalling as I don't have a child.

My best friend is pregnant with her second due in October and I am excited for her but when I'm alone I can't help but be jealous. X

Laurajc88 yeah it is so hard. I am so worried that my next step will be the injections because I have only heard bad things about them. I have friends who have been on them and they have had bad responses.
My body is also the worst in helping with it all. I was four days late and it gave me a little flutter of hope, but when I got it today all it made me realise is now I'm back to being irregular, which doesn't help anything.
My birthday is creeping up and it's just reminding me that I am getting older and further away from my goal. Which is something that I never cared about before, but know it is glaring for me. I think my gyno wants me on hormones if nothing continues to happen in the next few months. I don't know if that is a path I want to go on. Is that the same as the injections?
That sucks about the IVF, is the NHS an American system? Because I don't think I have the same thing in Australia. It's so hard. I feel like that is not the story being told. So its great to talk to others.
