Okay here is what I am doing. Take a prenatal vit, start a fertilty journal and do bbt reading and chart every morning. Also get hubby tested and yourself. There are lots of tests for females. I just went through all of them. They do a pap, check your tubes for blockage or none, check your ovaries, and blood work. My ob also did infections test because I was having pain, I found out that oval days are 10-22 good luck and get some cheap tests at dollar store.

I personally think you should just stop using contraceptive when your done with your other meds and have fun! Unlike a lot of us you may have no hindrences to getting conceiving so you don't need to get too involved in all the ways of trying to make it happen. It could just happen naturally for you. If you want to start tracking your ovulation the best place to start is by taking notice of your cervical fluid around 10 - 20 days into your cycle. When you ovulate your cervical discharge should be like an egg white consistancy. Your egg is only good for 24 hours from drop and it is not medically possible to absolutely know when the egg drops. But good news sperm can live up to 5 days so it's better to get busy prior to the time you ovulate. You should tell that your coming close to ovulation as you start having more and more wetness feeling like clear dishcarge.

if your cervical fluid is not clear to you than you can try things like taking your temp but thats really hard. And than there are also Ovulation Perdictor kits.

But at this point just pay attention to your body and see if you can tell when you ovulate. And have fun!!!

I live by the book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility", by Toni Weschler. You can get it online! It goes into COMPLETE details, along with examples, pictures, and explanations. It's a great book and not too technical like many websites can be. Good luck!

I actually think joy2sign has a great idea! Once you stop your pills, just stop using birth control and see what happens. I got pregnant the easiest the first time and that's the one time we weren't trying. It's also the only pregnancy that ended in a live birth. If after a couple of months nothing happens, then start the charting. There is a wealth of information on the internet. Honestly, when I bought Taking Charge of Your Fertility, which is a great bood, I read nothing in there that I hadn't already read online. I figured I would learn something new in the book. Maybe that one thing that I was missing. But no such luck. She didn't tell me anything I hadn't already learned thanks to my love for Google. Good luck to you, hun!

Thankyou all for your advice. I think as we are both in our "prime" I shall just stop using birth control once I am off my other meds and then see what happens and then if after a few months I will start charting.
