I know exactly how you feel, I lost my first pregnancy also and the only thing that kept me going through the extreme sadness I felt was focusing on getting pregnant again. Well that didn't work out so well, I was so emotional when my period would come, it was like I was losing the baby all over again. I kept trying to swallow the pain and grief I was feeling by over planning sex, ovulation, everything around pregnancy. I really had to process my feelings, see a counselor, let go of the negative emotions until I finally got to a place of "okay whatever happens will happen". Even then I was still worried about conceiving but the sadness, anger, depression I felt all left me, or I let them go, or just time healed my wounds. I'm not sure. Took my husband and I 13 months after the first lose to conceive again. We saw a fertility specialists 10 months into it to help ease my fear that something was gravely wrong with me. Once I started feeling like I was in a better place boom it happened. (I personally believe I was truly depressed for awhile and that altered my hormones and fertility, but who knows).
Now I have the same fears of loosing this pregnancy again and that keeps me up with worry and has prevented me from celebrating too much until we get past the 12-14 week mark, even then I know I'll be worried about something/everything/nothing. I hate that I won't let myself be happy about the life growing inside of me, but the minute I start to relax and feel happy I remember the terrible loss we suffered was and how awful I felt. That really prevents me from enjoying how I feel now. It sucks that now matter what this conception/pregnancy thing has turned into an emotional toll rather than a joyous occasion for all of us. Stay strong, focus on yourself and what you need first, if you are taken care of your reproductive system may just follow. I'll be sending positive energy your way!
