Do guys feel anything when TTC?

Okay, we have been ttc for a year and a half already without any luck. I was diagnosed with PCOS and am in the process of being treated for it. Lately ive been really deppressed about it. And its starting to bug me that DH never ever brings it up. Ill cry and he does little to nothing to try to comfort me. He says its because he is at peace with knowing it might never happen. But he hasnt done anything to help with the process either, right now we know the problem is me but I think he needs to get a SA because he complains sometimes of pain in his testicles (TMI sorry). But wont make an appt. I dont want to have to tell him to talk to me or make the appt. I want him to do it on his own but it seems like he doesnt "feel" anything....im seriously considering stopping ttc and taking a good look at our relationship, Idk if I can be with someone who seems to have no feelings about anything.

Men really deal with IF much differently than we do. Some take it harder than others, some act out (like mine) and some act like they don't care. It is a very good idea for him to get a SA and it might not hurt for you to call and make the appt. and tell him he has to go. That's what I had to do with mine, and he wants kids pretty badly. Maybe have the talk with your DH about how you're feeling. Tell him what you need. As much as we'd like to think so, they can't read our minds and are usually oblivious to our feelings and what's happening to us. Good luck...

In my experience, DH deals with IF in a much more "closed" way than I do. He got the SA done because that's usually the first place a DR or RE starts because it's not as invasive as the tests for women. Maybe discuss this with a DR and have them approach DH? I agree with you that having him looked out is important and is probably necessary.

I think women experience IF in such a different way that it may seem to us that our partners don't "feel" anything. As is the case with a lot of emotional things, men just don't "show" how they feel the same way as we do. I'm sure my DH feels during this process, but he only talks about it if I pressure him too.

i have been trying for 6 months now...my gynecologist says nothing is wrong but my husband is too lazy to get a test for semen/sperm. it drives me mad and i understand your disappointment.
