My situation is slightly different from yours but still very similar. Many years ago I got pregnant accidentally without even trying. I was young, alone, uneducated, and scared. I regretfully had an abortion. I am a different person now and am struggling to come to terms with what I did. I can't get over this foolish mistake I made. Fast forward to current. I am married, ready, and we are trying. We have been trying for 2+ years with no luck. I feel deep down in my heart the error I made when I was young is effecting me now. Kind of like karma. I did something wrong and now payback is me not being able to get pregnant. I know this is just silly thinking but it is always a constant barrier in my head from keeping positive and hopeful. SO easily it happened when I wasn't 'ready' and now that I am ready...nothing. How can this happen? Is it me? Is it my husband? Is it just not my time yet? Am I thinking to far into it? Did I do something to my body that I am not aware of? Why me?
A girl at my church tried to conceive for years. She ended up adopting when she thought pregnancy was not an option. While trying she saw doctors, various specialists, took medications, spent thousands of dollars on treatment, anything out there to assist with fertility and conception. No baby. She quit trying after the adoption and two years later...surprise...she got pregnant.
You are not alone with this. See a doctor and continue to be patient. Be hopeful and don't compare yourself to others. That is what I need to stop doing so I can be stronger on my own and not so sad month after month. My thoughts are with you :)
