Wow.... the more I hear about HPT, the more I think they may not be reliable. I would go to my doctor after a week or so if you dont get your period. If it is killing you to know go get the test done at your doc's office as soon as possible. Good luck :)

I believe the digital test require most hCG to register as positive. Get yourself an early results pregnancy test such as First Response, and use your first morning's urine tomorrow morning. Falst positives are pretty uncommon so it seems more likely that your first HPT was correct rather than the digital. Good luck and hope ot hear good news tomorrow!

I agree with Carrie Dawn. It is very rare to get a false positive. As long as you looked at it within the time limit on the test (evaporation lines can appear after 10 minutes) then it should be valid and you are pregnant. Yay! The digital tests take a lot more HCG to register so that is probably why the digital one came up positive. Test again with a different test (non digital). Good luck!!!

I agree with the previous posters that have indicated that different tests are more/less sensitive. The digitals being the least sensitive.

It's my understanding the the First Response Early Response is the most sensitive (that early response part is very important and you kind of have to really look for it on the box because it doesn't jump right out at you).

Give it a day or so and repeat the test with something a little more sensitive to be sure. Digitals are fun, but... not always reliable - especially if you may be newly PG and don't have a lot of HCG built up yet.

I'm going to say I think you're pregnant. The digital tests only give you PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT. However, First Response gives you the two pink lines. If there are two lines present then you are pregnant. The darker the second line the higher hormone level. I'd go out and grab another FR. Good luck!

I repeated the test on Thursday morning with a First Response early Response test and it was positive again (which makes it 3 positives).

But this morning was heartbreaking...after having 3 tests come back positive and being 8 days late for AF...she sprung up on me with avengance! Heavy bleed this morning and a total dissapointment...needless to say me and my boyfriend are very confused about the test results now!

Oh no! I'm so sorry. It may have been a chemical pregnancy. I had one last May and a week after finding out I was pregnant, I miscarried in early June. I had an hCG level of 85 at 14 DPO and 4 days later it had dropped ot half that. Even when it happens so early on, it's hard to go through.
