Ok ladies--I have been taking my BBT for about 1 week now and I am pretty sure I ovulated on CD 16 from CM and general ovulation symptoms. The temp spiked the next day almost an entire degree! But today 5 days later, the temp has dropped an entire degree. So here is my question: is this a sign of anovulation? could this happen as a fluke? implantation dip? I am so new to doing this and I know it takes months to see a real pattern--just wondering. Any help would be great--thanks!

What I wonder though is how this ties into the luteal phase (second half of menstrual cycle, post-ovulation). I found this at http://www.pregnancy-info.net/infertility_luteal_phase_defect

I'm no expert by any means, and you'll have to look at your patterns - and it's totally early yet for that, for you! Plus, the info I was able to find is from pregnancy websites (I hope they're accurate but I tend to believe v. little of what's on the web until it's confirmed by someone I know is well-versed in the area! Plus, self-diagnosis on the web is NOT a good idea!).
If you notice a pattern of this you should speak with your doctor. As I said on another post, I think the way to go when we have questions or concerns is to be educated about your own health, ask questions of your doctor and demand the care you expect!
