I am so,so sorry for what you are going through.I know what a complete shock to hear you have an Edwards baby, I too had 2 healthy children before so couldnt believe it. I wish I could give you words to help all I can say is I feel so so bad for you,life is so unfair and waiting must be torture for you.

I have an Edwards syndrome mixed with Jacobsen syndrome baby and he is nearly 4 months old now, yes there have been complications and difficulties but he is such a Joy with real character, you wouldn't guess the horror stories we were told before birth. Unfortunately most babies with Edwards syndrome are terminated by terrified heartbroken parents who are scared by Drs into thinking they have no other choice, this means that the medical evidence is based on less than half the cases. Have hope in your child, Edwards syndrome or not it is still your baby. looking back you want to know that you gave your baby every chance.
I know what its like, I didn't find our until 32 Weeks. Fight for your baby. I have been where you are, just hold on.

There is definitely hope! My friend has a full Trisomy 18 baby who is 5 months old. She was told the day she had her that Eden would never leave the hospital alive. We were told the same thing about our son Castan who has a totally different disorder. They are both 5 months old and doing amazing! Keep your chin up. I'm sorry you are going through this. We were pregnant with our first child after being told we may never be able to conceive. We lost our daughter at 22 weeks in the womb to Trisomy 18 complications and she had to be taken surgically. We found out we were having a girl and the she was dying at the same time. i don't think I could have overcome the psychological side of things had we been told that I had to go through delivery with her knowing she was dead. I ache for you and even though there isn't much I can do to ease your pain, please know that I share in your pain.
