Trigeminal neuralgia, or Tic Douloureux, is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. Trigeminal neuralgia is considered by many to be among the most painful of conditions.

I had the most embarrassing incident today at the UI (un-employment) office. They put you in a large room and teach you how to get a new job. Helpful for most but I think I got this.. Then they choose 10 names to stay.. Yup I'm called..
I'm assigned to a counselor to go over your credentials. When she gets to the health part.. OK back injury in Dec and TN in July I start to BALL. I'm not alone I'm with 10 other people. Yeah this feels good..
After she went over everything and after I explained all of my health issues... She said it would be best to do some type of craft from home.. Make bracelets or beaded necklaces, pampered chef or tupperware.. I'm still crying.. ... everyone is looking at me... I'm Horified.. I explained I need enough to pay a mortgage and my bills.. She gave me information to apply for SSDI The information they supplied was somewhat helpful... but you need to be disabled for a year before your apply for SSDI..
I don't think they had this happen before she didn't know what to do with me.. at least take me aside.. right? Has any other state had to go through this?

I couldn't have said it better... you made me lol.. that exactly how I felt... :)
Are you a surgical candidate or is yours ATN? If ATN have you applied for Disability Social Security? If you are permanently disabled you should get it and it will depend totally on how your dr office describes your condition.

Sorry you had to go through that but I really believe one of the few benefits of having to deal with something like TN is getting stronger. You really shouldn't feel embarrased about anything, even if you had to cry. We don't have to apologize or feel bad just because others don't understand.
There are some better ideas for working from home if that's what you want to do. I can't believe you have to be disabled for a year before collecting benefits. I hope today went better for you.
