Hi and I send my deepest regards to those of you suffering as I do its one micron short of hells inferno. I to know how this nerve can alter your life. however Gabapentin is KEY to resolving the pain. but not alone . Few doctors seen to understand the pain killing ability of Gabapentin .  in reality, Alone  its little to  none WITHOUT SUPPORT . IF we mix salt and Hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide 2 Deadly poisons we get Salt and Water as the 2 products of reaction In High School Chemistry I demonstrated that this was indeed a drinkable solution and no Ill effects.  Its salty water .
like that Gabapentin reacts with other chemicals in your stomach like food and the acids and basis the stomach [produces Also other pills not many but enough. ENOUGH is the key
In 1968 I severed the TG nerve root going to the lower Jaw totally. Ive had 3 root canals without any freexing the pain from the TG neuropathy is so bad its masking any return path the inner gum root has . the last thing I had done to the nerve was total REMOVAL from the cheek and gum outer layer . that lies just below where the teeth roots bulge out . about 7 centimeters from the gum to the cheek and 5 from the inside of the mouth cheek flesh .. I was hoping after no let up in pain no resolution of the pain it would subside in a few weeks NO it got UGLY I can hide pain but this was not gounbg to stay under my I am Ok mask, had some headache that was a new problem in the early 1990 it was more persistent than painful at first but by 1993 it was calling for treatment my TG removal was done a few months earlier and the headache stepped up. NOT a migrain something more vengeful. I asked to try Gabapentin so the dock said OK . I was already on emtec 30 for 2 Blown disks in the lumbar spine and several other pais from spine problems over the years . I am addicted to CRASH AND SMASH my spine . but the tgn was creaeping beyond all pains I had ever had . 68 to 75 saw me remove 2 perfectly good teeth in the lower Jaw. one damaged the Gum and in 1993 it had to be repaired as it collapsed . Now over the nerve was a gaping hole for it to swell into as well as under the "I"tooth. This is normally a nasty tooth to remove so dentists like to fill them .  THE TG nerve rout from the brain to the gum alone the gum and into the gun at the Front teeth side of the h:I"tooth with the headache the TGN pumped up and I ground down with my upper teeth to provide an ACCU Pressure form of pain therapy pointless as this just inflamed the tail end ALIVE APPARENTLY of the TG nerve end that was left inside the gum not removed . I was up to 2400 mgs of Gabapentin the headaches were Gone the spinal pain gon the TGN was still raging. the new surgery simply set it into a forest fire with out end. MY dentist was not going to remove my I tooth but I pressed him with knowledge OK file it down We tried that 10 times no luck it comes back . when the tooth grows. OK he went for the anesthetic Lidocain  NOT in this GUM so Without freezing he gently twisted asked if it hurt NO MORE so he gave it more My thumb was still up so he got brave and torques to start lifting slowly it rose and my pain subsided. Finally not yet pain free but now tolerable. in my mind. Still bad last treatment 6 weeks after tooth removed I asked for a Steroid shot to the NERVE now easily accessble he went into the CUR end of the nerve with a CC of depo Medrol ( prednisone liquified ) YEOW a 10 second straiten you up pain! when the needle was out the pain was GONE! first time in 25 years. pain free. after the steroid had been consumed a few weeks it was manageable by 8 Emtec 30 and 3200 mgs of Gabapentin . GOTHA FINALLY.
If you have been on gabapentin   and only some relief ask for a Script that will allow you to use up to 8 per day but Go up slowly as you will find that at as little as 1 you may have full pain relief just knowledge that the pain is there to hate you if you do not keep it squashed . Don’t Treat a flare-up KEEP IT UNDER control every day the same high dose of gabapentin and a littel Codeine. NOT MORPHINE!! Morphine and Gaba are toxic some may be able to tolerate it whjeen the no gaba the bad stuff goes away Blame the Gaba take the morphine away the same but no pain control. SWITCH to CODEINE and you will be Ok . Gabapentin is your TGN killer. So dont stop that . 8 emtec is far less than a few Morphine but you will be  shocked at how little   OPIATE you realy need for the best pain control and safely.
 My Headache is caused by the TGN and when both are angry My Spine joins in and I wake up Screaming and the entire Apartment Floor hears me. its so bad I don’t think I cannot think I need to go on  a 3 to 4 day recovery process to slowly subdue  this evil set of pains.
 I hope Ive helped even one person understand why Gaba losses effciency and why you get some nasty side effects . CODEINE is Safe morphine is not Oxycodone is safe . but That makes morphine look like an Aspin .  What more can I say ITS NOT curable meltable nor the pain less tomorrow than it was an hour ago .  We can however Persevere with trying various drugs surely there are others that can help. I’ve tried a few but their answer is to allow my spine or the headache to come thru. Gabapentin is my only one Bullet kills then all.  Can you help yourself from the reliance in Gabapentin I have no answer it works for Neuropathy *( severed Damaged or Neuralgia injured or medically damaged. TIC dolerouux my mother went thru hell with it. I’ve seen it all . I’ve broken my spine in many places I have no other pain I can compare it topo knee Cap removal was close .C spine fusion NO that was painless . Thios is hell. Or as vlose to hell as we the living can come.
