Rhizotomy

Hi al, I've just read a study that achieved 60% cure rate (ie no pain) from a procedure called CyberKnife radiosurgical rhizotomy for people with Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had this procedure. Please let me know your experience, I'd be most grateful. Thanks, Ian

Stop! Please dont do it, I have Atypical TN and it has just made me worse. (HORRIBLE SIDE EFFECTS) Read the side effects of the CyberKnife before you go any futher. When they say numbness and you think numbness that's not so bad. Well it is and 10 times worse than you can imagine!! please do your homework. God Bless !

the three people i know of who have had this procedure are all worse than before it and then on top of it any other procedure they try doesnt work because the cyberknife has ruined those chances!! my opinion is avoid it at all costs.
i got help with my atn through motor cortex stimulator implant. look for treatment that doesnt destroy anything further and it may be a combination of medication, avoiding triggers and some other treatment.
