Trigeminal neuralgia, or Tic Douloureux, is a neuropathic disorder of the trigeminal nerve that causes episodes of intense pain in the eyes, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, and jaw. Trigeminal neuralgia is considered by many to be among the most painful of conditions.
Hi everyone, I haven't been diagnosed with TM, I do have Fibromyalgia and possible MS. I have been having pain on the right side of my head, check, jaw and neck, it feels like electric shocks, or someone is stabbing me. It comes and goes, but it isn't the worst pain I have ever had, but I guess if it was constant it could be. I also get this sensation on the right side of my head and neck like someone rubbed icy hot on me. Does this sound like TM, or could it be something else? I have a doctors appointment with my Doctor tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
It could be... everyone is different and the pain level is all over the place. You have quite a bit to deal with already, I hope it's not TN. Good luck at the doctor... I wish you well... :)
Hang in there it seems like the appointments never end and I'm sure for you it's even worse. I hope all goes well... keep me posted. Hope you're feeling better today. :)
