So as many may remember I was fighting a TN flare up and an abscessed tooth for the past three weeks. Last Sunday I went back to the ER and was told I HAD to see an ENT (ear nose and throat doctor) MONDAY because of something that was found on the CAT scan of my head they did in the ER. The ENT doctor informs me that I MOST get the infected tooth removed asap because I not only have a 6cm pus pocket that has embedded itself around the right mandible muscle but that I have the starts of blood poisoning :o[ He tells me is I can't find an oral surgeon that will remove the tooth the NEXT day to call his office back and he will make arrangement at the university he graduated from to have me referred there because its beyond deadly now.
Needless to say i could not find a dentist that would take me that soon so the next day myself, my mom, grandma and aunt were on our way to Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC and what was suppose to be an in and out thing turned into a 5 day stay in the hospital because they had to give me two days of high power antibiotics because they could even think about doing the surgery to remove the tooth......
I had the surgery yesterday, the 13th and came home the 14th. I feel good. My throat is very sore from the breathing tube and I can't really talk but all and all I feel good. Heck maybe my neurologist was right my TN IS CURED! *insert sarcasm* *rolls her eyes*
