Hi, my name is grace. I was diagnosed with atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia in November of 2017 after an impacted lower tooth extraction gone wrong. I have undergone three surgeries, a MVD (Microvascular Decompression) and two Rhizotomys. After my MVD I was pain free for one week, then the pain came back with a vengeance. I am constantly in pain then I get facial attacks where I literally can't even move daily. I am on trileptal, gabapentin, baclofen and one pain medication. I have not been able to receive adequate relief. Does anyone have any suggestions?

So sorry to read that you are having issues.

Do you take any vitamins? Such as the B Complex which includes all the Bs and extra B12 and Folate?

I, too, saw a dentist a few months ago but for fillings, especially to the roots of my teeth. I had facial sensitivities along with the entire mouth/teeth sensitivities. I find it helpful to take vitamins and the Bs along with the B12/Folate to help with this.

Hello, I have been having TN for 2 yrs. Initially I was on anti-inflammtory medicines, but I felt the pain just subsided for 3-4 hrs & returned back.. I knew I had to go below just just addressing symptoms for a proper solution.. This was when I started researching.. I came across natural herbs for the nerves, these herbs include OM 13, hypricum, TN formula and neuralease. I am taking them for 6 months now & noticed good improvement. You may go through the research on these herbs , to know what’s better for your health

I have had my second time around with TN. My first time was four years ago & after about a month it went away. Now is back times two worse. I read about two procedures one is called cyberknife & the other is called gamma knife radiology I wonder if you or anyone knows anything about these procedures?

Having TN is very scary. I am sorry for all of us who are dealing with this disease. I have had it since 16 years old and am almost 50 years now. Every individual is different but it is the same kind of pain. The Tegretol is the only thing that has worked for me but as I get older not meds are working and now looking at surgery... Its s crazy disease... IB will not help since it’s a nerve
