I had big plans for my sweet 16 as well (I'm 30 now) and unfortunately my plans didn't work out and I was left pretty disappointed. It wasn't a trich issue at the time but as I've gotten older I have slightly changed my perspective with special occasions. It's great to look forward to parties and things and no doubt- turning 16 IS quite special and anyone older than that will fondly reflect being that age- but- don't put too many aspirations and expectations into one day. Relax, make your plans but try to have back up plans and just go with it- whatever will happen will happen. Be optimistic with your trich too- I know sometimes I feel as if I've been dealing with it forever- and that I always will but believing that we will be better is one step closer to BEING better.
Since you are turning 16 and you're having a big party - you could probably do well with make up- at least enough to be less uncomfortable knowing your lashes are thin. Some eyeliner, eyebrow pencil. It's a great occasion for dressing up! You could practice with fake lashes too-
Hope you have a great party!!
I know your pain. I've been taking pics of my lashes (or lack thereof!) and posting them to my friends (on this site) each week to help keep me motivated to stop. Not sure if this would help you too, but I thought I'd let you know--there is hope, and you can log on for support here anytime!

You are doing great, with your blog and coming here to talk to those that understand like others can not. You will beat trich, one day at a time. Believe in yourself. Think positive. We are here for you.
