This is very new to me too so I get where you are coming from. With school and social issues it can be difficult for me to stay calm also, and the only thing I know is to hide away and pull. I don't really know how long I have actually had trich because I was only introduced to the actual disorder earlier this year, but I know that I have been pulling out my hair for a long time, probably since halfway through elementary school. I felt for a while that it was getting better but then I realized that the reason it fluctuates is because of school. I understand the thing about failure. I find it difficult to stay away from the "perfectionist" mindset, once I start thinking about all the things that I COULD achieve, I don't stop and end up just disappointing myself, feeling that dejection. I don't know how to definitely help other than give my support and let you know that you are not alone and things will be okay. :)
