I am in need of advice. This is the closest thing I can find that sounds like what he does. He doesn't touch his hair, he pulls mine (his moms). Started with holding it, was the only thing that would really help calm him, and get him to sleep.  Then he needed to hold it a lot...and then  He started pulling it, and now it's progressed to searching for it on clothing, on the floor, pulling it from my head, and puting it on his soother and then putting it in his mouth and kinda sucking on it until he has a bit of a hairball and then will eat it. If he finds a hair and doesn't have his soother he gets really upset and NEEDS his soother, if you take the hair away, he gets really upset. I know it is a comfort thing, and a relaxing tool for him. I don't mind him holding my hair, but the pulling and now eating it is worrying me. Is this common? Does it evolve to pulling his own hair? He's giving me spots that are really thin...he's always been difficult to settle and ya I used whatever tools I could to help get him to sleep, never imagined it would lead him here...not sure what to do for him...any suggestions?
