I'm 35 and have been pulling for over 28 years. There have been multiple times I've pulled myself almost completely bald and there are four spots that I pull from all of the time.

Having said that, I get full regrowth in these areas. The crown takes a while to grow back (6+ months for me) but it DOES come back. Most of the regrowth is kinky and white but I've found that in some even the color comes back.

If you invest in a good hair care regimen of shampoos that are good for your scalp, frequent scalp massages, and conditioner & oils to protect the new growth I'm confident you'll get better re-growth.

I pull my eyelashes and am 25, have been pulling since the 3rd grade, so maybe 15 years? I guess the hair on our heads is different then our eyelashes, but my eyelashes are not as thick as they once were and they do take longer to grow in. Maybe a vitamin could help? Like those vitamins for hair and nail growth?

thats great to hear bkc.. i think i have some regrowth, but difficult to tell.. but after 7 weeks and with lots of determination, i am doing this .. i look foward to having thicker hair in 4 - 5 months time.. how exciting..
at my age, most of my hair is growing grey anyway.. but those wrinkly kinky hairs will be a challenge aagh.. the best ones to pull - when i pulled.. but i dont anymore .. yay !
yes, i should treat myself to some nice oils, never really bothered before as thought my hair was not worth it.. but I am worth it !! thanks for your feedback ladies vitamins and oils on the shopping list !!

Guys, I am suffering from trich from the past 15 years. Yes, those kinky white hairs- so perfect !!! I want to stop, I have my wedding coming up in the next 6 months and I so badly want my hair back. I don't have bald patches but my crown and sides have very low hair density so it appears bald. Please suggest me something.

I too have been pulling for a very long time, 31 years. In my experience, the hair has always grown back. I’ve noticed that some patches grow back coarser, which is bad because I focus on and pull those out right away. However, some spots like on the top of my head, the hair grows back normally. I have light blond hair so my bald patches are less visible to people, than darker hair. I wear a ponytail or bun all the time because I tend to pull and use tweezers til I bleed so I have sores that I need to hide. I wish this group had existed long ago. I could have used the support and encouragement I needed. I’m really glad that there’s a group like this available to trichsters, especially to those who are beginning to develop this obsession. I sincerely hope you can all overcome this and I’m sure many of you will :) Don’t give up!!

Yes mine has grown back over and over. Give it time.
