I thought I would post about a new thing I just learned about...eyebrow extensions!

Has anyone ever tried this?
What's great is, they can actually glue the eyebrows directly onto skin, so they can fully recreate a missing eyebrow even if there is absolutely no hair left.
It's definitely expensive, and they don't last long. I just scheduled an appointment with the owner of a studio that does it, and it will cost about 200 dollars. Though it would be cheaper if I scheduled with one of the other technicians, but I wanted to make sure it comes out as good as possible so I scheduled with the "master". I'm also assuming it will cost less if I go back and get them refilled.
They apparently only last about a week or two, depending on how much you sweat/bathe/etc. But the results look amazing. I'm hoping I can get them done for a few months and allow my real ones to grow under them. I pull less when I have more hair grown in, so I just need something to help me stop for a period of time. But who knows, it might be money thrown out the window and I just keep pulling the real ones and/or fake ones. An expensive experiment this will be!

I've been trying to leave mine alone, its driving me mad!
So I got my first set of eyebrow extensions, and they really did look great. They weren't perfect, they were a bit thinner than I would have liked and she made one eyebrow higher than the other (so I liked like I was raising my eyebrow lol), but considering she had barely any eyebrows to follow, I'll give her a pass this time. I'm not one to complain and make her fix it. A little eyebrow powder evened them out, and then they looked pretty great!
I didn't really notice my own eyebrows under the fake ones at all, the few hairs that I had were kinda hidden underneath the fake ones and since they are so expensive and delicate, I really didn't feel compelled to touch them or pull them like I normally do with my real hairs.
The oil on your face is bad for the glue, so I was constantly applying a bit of baby powder to make them dry. But since you can't wash them, after about a week, my brows started getting super dry and crusty, which REALLY bothered me. I eventually found myself slowly picking out fake hairs that just looked disgusting and obviously fake to me. My eyebrows pretty much looked like full eyebrows for 8 days. At about 9 days they started getting noticeable gaps from the hairs that had fallen out or I had removed. Today, after 10 days, I finally decided to just wash them off because they were driving me nuts with how dirty and crusty they were looking. I had never wanted to clean my eyebrows more in my life haha!
For some reason, without my realizing it, the girl who did my brows was not the "master" stylist I had scheduled, but one of the regular technicians. So it cost 150 instead of the 200 dollars I was expecting. Extremely expensive for how long they lasted, but I think it was worth it because the entire time they were on, I didn't pull out a single one of my own hairs! Now that the fake ones are off, I can definitely see some new growth. Hopefully I can fight any urges to pull the new growth before I can get another set put in.
Now that I know how it works, I'm hoping I can make them last longer by not drying them out with powder like I did this time.
