BUT it's so cool that they (who write about the most base human interactions) wrote about trich and Beckie0!!! Truch is truly getting out there and that's tops for us!
In regards to whether that ep is a trigger, and if triggers like that should be discouraged. Well; first I haven't seen the episode because I'm very behind with dr who. Second.. Ah, yeah I guess I'd prefer not to see that. I mean, WHY was it even included? They were trying too project OCD tendencies? Ultimately, I don't think something like that should be banned but maybe a warning at the start cod be cool. Eg "warning, this program may contain violence, sexual content, trichotillomania triggers, OCD triggers". Yeah that'd be cool.
When I first saw the Beckie0 video I didn't really have the same opinion as her but the more I think about it, the more I thought that a warning could be cool. And I think that the publicity because of this reaction is great. They even included a description of trich from the NHS in there. Cool!
So it doesnt quite raise awareness or anything, since people don't know this is a disorder people could have. So that's frustrating, but still I don't think it was a big deal. And considering watching TV is a trigger for me, I would probably already be pulling by the time the scene came on.
I would agree more with Beckie0 if she just commented on how frustrated she was that this trigger happened for her and that it kind of ruined the episode for her a bit because of it.... but I don't agree that it was wrong for the show to put it in there.
I gotta admit, "'it was the only one out of place, I am sure you would have wanted it killed' is SOOOO something I would say. :)
The Daily Mail is something that is very well known and popular, so it's a good thing they have an article about this, even if it is sensationalist, because more people might learn about it.
