Any Advice Is Greatly Needed

I know this post is probably the same as many others here, but any human interaction regarding trich would be greatly appreciated.  I have nowhere to go and noone to talk to about this, so I thought I would try one more time here before I give up.  After this, I promise I won't just keep reposting, and will try to find some assistance elsewhere.  I'm really worried because my pulling is getting bad.  I didn't even know until very recently that other people suffered from this embarrasing and painful disorder.  What follows is my original post from yesterday.  Thanks in advance and God bless you:




 Hi everyone. I started pulling when I was about 21. I was unfortunately using meth at the time, and the stress of many many things was weighing on my mind as well. I started picking my skin wherever it broke out, and then soon, started pulling hair on my face and chest. Now I pull on my face, chest, arms, legs, stomach, hands and pubic area. I do this any time I am relaxing alone, and I cannot seem to stop. Can anyone please offer me some advise on how to proceed with treatment for this embarrasing and painful disorder. I really do well with live online chats, if anyone knows of anything like that, but ANY helpful advise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much in advance, and have a wonderful day..

After years of struggling with trichotillomania, I just decided to picture myself with a full head of gorgeous hair. I would put on a timer for 5 minutes every time I felt the urge to pull out my hair and I would picture myself pulling out my hair, but not actually do it. Sometimes I would snap an elastic band against my wrist to take away the urge. For a while, I used this product called "Great Hair Day" by Joan rivers it can be found on qvc.com
It's a powder that matches your hair color and clings to the tiniest hairs to cover up bald spots. It was such a lifesaver. It costs about 25 dollars and I would recommend it to anyone! Also, I work for a company called it works that sells health and wellness products and supplements. There's a product called Hair Skin and nails and it's fabulous! The results in just a couple of months are insane! I'm not crazy about pushing products on people. But, as someone who used to suffer so much from trichotillomania and knows how embarrassing and depressing it is to have it, I have to at least share that there is hope!
