nice little piece here. each has a pretty simple answer cept the 4th one. The first being "because people are ignorant to the topic", Second "It doesn't, others make it seem that way", third: "see answer to 1", fourth "no one really knows", and last "Educate people"
The last one is the most important. All of us need to remember that people around us have no clue what the heck we go through or even have the slightest comprehension of it. So we have to have thick skin and educate them, which means educating ourselves. Then when someone says something ignorant, we can simply educate them on the reality of things and give them facts and science to make them look like the fool if they are trying to hurt us, or if they aren't, make them see that maybe they are wrong.
But as I said, it is a lovely piece you wrote above all.

well um now you have me thinking. But to answer your 4th question, well maybe its just because someone like any higher power depending on ur beliefs was drunk and was like hmm lets do this to this person and these people. or you know an actually logical explanation but i don't have one of those
