I'm mtf and there aren't many people I can talk to here. I live in a very conservative area and not many people here are okay with anyone who is part of the lgbt+ community. I can't talk to my family because they are very heavy and strict with religion and I do not think they will handle that well. I'm just lonely and scared and I want to talk with people who know what this is like. I don't even know where I'm going with this. But literally anything supportive you have to say would help.

I know that the consequences of acknowledging your transgender sexuality seem daunting, but the benefits of remaining true to who you really are are immeasurable. I understand. My family's really strict, and religious. And hate the lgbt+ community so I have no one to talk to. I'm scared to come out to because of what will happen. Also no one will believe me because I can't cut my hair or do boyish things. If you want to talk I'm here.

I'm in the same exact boat you are. I have a super strict religious family. I just came out to my wife of 18 years and she knew I was different but didn't say anything about it. She is very supportive and is helping teach me. My problem is we live in the bible belt in a small town, we have zero transgender support or doctors to start my hrt. For now I'm going to start learning makeup, dressing, body language and speaking at home. I was told that hrt will change you but its really down to how you present yourself as a woman with clothing and makeup. After that I'll drive to the nearest big city and see a counselor.
Since we're n the exact same situation then I'd be glad to be friends andwe can help and support each other achieve our goals.

I am MTF. Having a good therapist is key. Insurance typically pays for mental health these days. You need to realize that being transgender is a difficult place to be. Unless someone is exceptionally progressive and understanding, friends and family won't get it. Forget about the rest of society. You feel rejected at times and shameful at other times. I feel goo about accepting who I am, but I am in constant conflict because I want to be a woman, but feel I don't want to ruin my marriage and relationships with my three grown kids. I wear panties under my clothes, have gotten rid of my body hair and crossdress in private to help cope. I live in a liberal, progressive area and there are very few resources and support groups for transgenders. So find a good therapist. Always glad to talk
