Hello, everyone. I'm older than the average mama bear to be just figuring this out (63 yikes!). I've lived as a man all that time, but I liked it less and less. As far as my being in "late youth" goes though I spent my life working with people in their 20s-30s and that's who my friends were so I think I'm more like in my 30s mentally, culturally, politically etc., Same for my wife - her friends are all that age. We often don't get along as well with people our age because their OLD!, But we try not to be prejudiced! So I hope the younger members here don't hold that number against me. It's important to my story so I said it first thing. I wanted to tell how long I've been living the wrong way for me. I did know all my life I was different. I knew that I had a lot of female in me but I never fully identified as a woman until a few months ago. Just taking baby steps on transitioning right now. My wife is supportive, but has some limits.She said if I had surgery for example she thinks she would want seperate bedrooms, but we'll see if that ever happens. Fortunately for our marriage I like girls, but on the other hand she like men, so it's tricky. But then she's asexual and is attracted to me romantically but never wanted anyone sexually regardless of gender or sex so in another way that might make this easier. All very complicated after 41 years of marriage. But before this gets crazy long with all the million things I could tell is there anyone here would be interested in skype/facetime/telephone with another transwoman for mutual support, maybe mentoring, friendship, especially in Los Angeles Area or Western Riverside County/Inland Empire area (or anywhere failing that) I may be able to get to a support group but there are scheduling issues with the only one I've found that's anywhere close to where I live (and that's 1.5hr drive).
