Hi Marissa, I had my SRS 2 months ago. It is WONDERFUL, scary, exhausting, thrilling - all these things. If you are like me, you will be so happy not to have the wrong equipment any more. Marci Bowers performed my surgery, but Dr. Supporn is definitely one of the BEST. I think you have chosen well. The most difficult thing for me has been soreness "down there" and using the stent. But, after a while, it gets easier and less sore. I have travelled a lot, but never to Thailand. That is another adventure that will be thrilling for you. Marissa, while I have not gone through SRS, I would like to comment on the flight. I have never flown to Thailand, but I have been on four long trips (Hawaii, New Zealand, England, France). What I will warn you about is if you happen to cross the equator, expect some turbulence at that moment. However, flying now is safe as heck, so I would highly recommend that you simply enjoy your trip as much as possible. And don't freak out too bad on the flight, it really isn't as bad as you feel it is.

I'm sorry I forgot to add, that if you are checking bags, expect additional fees if they're over 50 l bs. Don't wear lots of jewelry. It's a safety risk as well as a hassle in security. Wear shoes easy to slip off in the security line and take out your laptop.
Any liquids you bring must be less than 3.4 oz. Put them all in a quart size ziploc bag.

Hi Marissa, and congratulations for planning your s r s, I have crossed that bridge just (so to speak) but from the stories that I hear from those who have completed their s r s, they say that it is a good idea to bring someone along with you on the plane ride, someone who is emotionally supportive, that you've known a long time, that will be by your side, the whole time that you are there, until you are ready to come back home. I was listening to Stephanie's story about her s r s under the care of Marci Bowers, Stephanie had such a glow on her face, it was spiritually up lifting, she's happy with her surgery.

I asked everyone I know.. I had planned to have a girlfriend coming with me but she's been sick so that cancelled. No one else has the money to come along. I'm going to be over there for 43 days, was hoping to get my face done too but some stuff didn't sell so that plan got smashed as well.

15 freaking hours and I am freaking out so bad. I'm calm on the outside but inside I just wanna scream FUCK FUCK FUUUUCK.... I was admitted into the hospital today at noon and surgery will be in the morning. Getting scared like super scared now that it's here.
