Rant *TW---possibly* People can be SO unfiltered

Just feel like saying I am not transgendered. I am a female, but it frustrates me beyond belief how people are so stereotypical, prejudice, and socialized to believe transgendered/transsexual individuals are "nasty" and how something's "wrong" with them. Everyone has something wrong with them, EXCLUDING their gender identity/gender. Was in school one day and three girls I was by, as I was studying for a final, were mentioning a certain transgendered person. The girl who originally saw the individual was making fun, saying how this person looked exactly like a trans because the person looked "sloppy" and repulsive, going on a tangent about how the trans population don't understand that you're born either a boy or a girl, that they're just having a crisis, etc. It went on. I don't even want to list all the other things these girls were saying. I'm sorry if this may seem triggering to anyone here, especially if it makes you feel like you have no one to talk to, but please let me remind you *I* am not like that nor are other people, I am sure. I've had two transgendered friends and to be honest, I judged them based on their personality, not on their gender/sex/identity. If you treat me with respect, I'll treat you with respect. Point blank. Who knows, maybe I met other transgendered individuals in the past and never knew because some people are terrified of being judged and I can understand WHY. When I overheard those girls at school, I was blown away at how ignorant they were. It actually makes me sick and just sad. Not for the transgendered population, but for those girls because they will never understand. They will just continue being sheep, following certain trends. To anyone who is having this issue, where they're scared, confused, lost in regards to their identity, you can talk to me. I will be a supportive friend, an ear that'll listen, and a shoulder you can cry on. I wish people out there weren't so malicious with their words, but they are and there's nothing I can do about it. No one who is transgendered is flawed. No one who is transgendered are abnormal. We all have imperfections and flaws, but it has NOTHING to do with sex/gender. NEVER. However, what we WERE born with is the ability to thrive and grow, day by day. Hopefully no one takes this the wrong way. I'm only venting about what I overheard because truly, it sickened me and I just do not want anyone feeling alone. It makes me want to cry. Not for my own advantage, but because I'm empathetic. I FEEL emotions from others and it radiates onto me. I don't consider that as a problem though. I think it makes me the kindhearted person that I am today.
