Whenever we post something on the net, we need to be sure we check the privacy settings, I always do because there are some things about me that is not anyone's business. That being said, I think whosever shared your post can no longer be considered a friend.

I would educate the offender on privacy rules if I were you and unfriend said person. Now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, accept it and make the best out of it

I wouldn't recommend Facebook, especially to those who have not yet come out to their parents, friends at school, co-workers or spouse. Chances of being outted is very likely unless you create a different account name, and don't post your real pic as a profile, use another image.

The I can't believe it statement in itself is not bad. It is simply a statement of shock. The fact she shared it is likely because she shared it, which would be like you telling her in confidence and her telling others. The reality is though, that you told them, they just may not have seen it. Inadvertently or not you told them, almost no different than sending a text to the wrong person. Some will assume it wasn't meant for them, some will reply. The feeling is basically the feeling of being outed before you were ready. Now comes the Damage control. People are going to have questions, people are going to be in shock about the revelation of this. You will have to decide if you want to get out in front of it, or wait for it to come to you. If you want to wait, then do so, if you want to get out in front, post something attempting to explain or grab everyone in a private message and try to explain. Do some educating, it will end up okay.

So are you being to emotional, No, you are being human. You weren't ready, its out there, and to a bunch of people at once. I would say terror or anger would be somewhat acceptable for a few days. But you will survive this regardless what happens. *huggles*

Thank you everyone! Fortunately things turned out well. I decided to view it as a positive. It's like jumping into cold water, but then getting used to the temperature. At first it was beyond awkward. I never meant to come out so soon, but now I've realized I do have support. People are commenting on my photos telling me I am handsome. It's a nice feeling.

Just remember there is no right or wrong way... there is only the way that feels right for you. You sound like such a well Minded adult... i think you will adapt well and succeed in finding a way to have the world see and respect you for who you are.

When i said Adult i meant that though your account name says Kid... your words and your actions seem to be that of a matured personality. Be confident in yourself and your choices... it is unlikely you will make mistakes so drastic your own inner strength wont overcome. be brave and true to yourself... always.
