Last night I went to an 'all inclusive' support group that I found out about and began attending a little over a month ago. Nobody showed up. I wasn't surprized really, fewer and fewer people (some of whom have gender issues also) had been showing up ever since I first started attending, and that is often how it goes when I try to find support.

I Hate myself so much; I guess I just wish someone would just tell me what is so effFFFing WRONG and Bad about me?

Or perhaps the entire reason for creating a 'Safe Space' is so LGBT hindered by social isolation can finally get the pleasure of rejecting 'someone' for a change,,,

and it just SUCKS to be me.

I am a co-facilitator of an LGBT social/support group and I can tell you that summer is the worst time to try to have something like that going. People want to be out having fun, or if they have kids are dealing with kids, going on vacations, what have you. It makes it really hard to get people to show up. The group I have, has hundreds of members, and on an average night in the summer there MIGHT be 3 including myself. The lessening of the numbers has nothing to do with you personally, its just people going out and doing their own thing while they have the summer to do it. I know no other details about what your situation is so I really cant address much more than that. But I can tell you the lack of attendance is not abnormal in the summer. With the acceptance of the Gay Bi and Lesbian segments into the norm of society, it means less need the support from those 3 components, especially younger generations. These groups are slowly going to die out over time. but for now, its just the nature of everything.... Even here, its empty because everyone is out for the summer. Its not you.

Thanks. I'm sure you're right about summer schedules, although the same has happened to me with a group last winter. Sorry about the intensity. It's just been really crummy, crummier, these past couple of weeks, and maybe losing the group was just a little too much for me.
Better now.

we all have our off days, and dealing with the form of things we do makes it far far more off on those off days. Trust me I understand where you are coming from. It isn't an easy road to say the least. You just have to remember its not all you. I've been battling something in my life and one of the statements that I got was "Well those who are transgendered already have issues like depression so how can this make it worse?" I had to explain to this naïve person that we don't have depression because we are transgendered, Bi, Gay, whatever, We have it because of how people like them treat us on a day to day basis. Makes it really easy to think its us when everyone around is making things hard, but its not us, its them. Not sure what else has gone on for you the last few weeks, but it will get better in time.

I went to an LGBT group once, and it was hard for me. there were two there a bi man and lesbian woman. And I felt like I wouldn't belong. It was very scary for me, so I didn't go back.
So I don't know what you are going through, but I do feel somehow there is a difference between homosexual/lesbian people and transgenders. That there are differences in the issues. And maybe they wouldn't really understand? I don't know. But if you want to send me a message, I would talk to you. Or try. (I'm terribly socially awkward at times).
